If you’re working on thriving in life “one bite at a time,” I’m sure you’re actively working on learning all you can about success and different life skills you might need to achieve your goals–even if your goal, like so many here at the Hungry Dater, is to find a great person to share your life with. In my education on this subject, I have been fairly self-taught. But my teachers, through the books they’ve written, are all epic. When my dad announced this was what he wanted for his birthday, I knew there was no way I could say no; but honestly, I wasn’t super excited. In fact, I was terrified. We decided to apply to be a part of the Tahoe Rim Trail Association’s Segment Hikes. This meant that every Sunday for 12 weeks, we would meet up with a guide and a group, get in a van, drive to the trailhead, and hike one segment of the Trail back to our cars. Each segment consisted of 12-25 miles. Ugh.
