On Time-Saving Tuesdays, it’s rare we ever write about breakfast because breakfast ends up being so rushed. But I suppose that’s what Time-Saving is all about! So today we’re talking breakfast. And most specifically, the attempt to get protein-packed eggs into our weekday routine.
Breakfast is the meal that sets the stage for the rest of the day. I generally need to have some protein every day with my breakfast just to make sure the rest of my day isn’t spent in a state of “starving.” But really, that’s hard because there’s only so much yogurt a girl can eat (though don’t get me wrong, I love yogurt)….

While I’m a huge proponent of making your own meals for health, ingredient identification, and weight management; with a full time job, a family, friends, an active blog, and people who depend on me; sometimes coming up with a recipe, shopping for, and preparing dinner just doesn’t seem viable.
So, have you ever wondered whether you REALLY need to follow those ridiculous inane instructions in a recipe? “Spray this.” “Flour that.” Mix this before that or the ALL THE THINGS WILL GO WRONG.

When I first started learning to cook, I started researching food culture and the advantages of natural whole ingredients versus those which are created by industry. It also didn’t help that I started developing food allergies, which means it’s sometimes risky to eat things when I don’t know exactly how they’re made or what they’re made with. With that in mind, one of the best reasons to start cooking is to make sure to know exactly the things going in our bodies.
